The Valley Forge Anvil Pattern has been made very popular by its solid stature, traditional round horn, square heels and uniquely with a second 1" Hardie Hole just ahead of the table at the base of the horn, providing maximum hardie tool stability by its proximity so close to the neck of the anvil.

The VALLEY FORGE 130 lb Pattern is now made by JHM, uniting the popular Valley Design with JHM's superior Manufacturing Processes.

Made from specially alloyed steel (ie -NOT cast iron!), this is a "works horse" anvil that has a great work surface, entirely in the USA using JHM's meticulous attention to detail to ensure the now famous JHM consistency & quality.

Note :  We have sold hundreds of JHM anvils and have never had a single complaint or warranty issue.  I have done metallurgical assays on the anvils and I personally Rockwell Test every lot of anvils received for peace of mind nothing has escaped being tempered properly (…an issue with some OTHER manufacturers…)

Recommend:  *DRESS THE EDGES OF THE ANVIL FACE* 

It's recommended to dress the anvil's edges to a slight radius to help prevent sharp edges from cracking or chipping, especially by off strikes.  Wear eye protection near any working anvil. (Video Coming Soon).
